M.J. Maynard

As the Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC), M.J. Maynard leads the only agency nationwide that is responsible for a region’s public transit system, traffic management, roadway and construction funding, and transportation and overall planning efforts – all under one roof. A longtime Southern Nevada resident and proud graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, M.J. understands the value and need for an enhanced transportation ecosystem that includes a robust roadway network and an efficient public transit service that connects the Las Vegas Valley, improves air quality, and creates economic opportunities for people and businesses alike. Considered a national leader and trusted voice of the transportation industry, she serves on a number of national and local industry organizations. Her 14 years of experience at the RTC, together with her more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, help ensure that Southern Nevada continues to build an innovative, sustainable and multi-modal transportation system.
